Hunter Greene Makes Reds Rotation
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Hunter Greene has made the team's starting rotation to begin the regular season and will start the fourth game of the year on April 10 against the Atlanta Braves. Greene, the former No. 2 overall pick and Cincy's top prospect per MLB Pipeline, has a 100 mph heater and heaps of fantasy upside. However, the 22-year-old could eventually be sent back to the minors when Luis Castillo (shoulder) and Mike Minor (shoulder) are ready to join the Reds rotation, so fantasy managers in mixed leagues should temper expectations in Greene's MLB debut. Despite missing time in 2019 and 2020 due to Tommy John surgery and COVID-19, Greene had a 3.30 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 139 K's to 39 walks in 106 1/3 minor league innings in 2021.
