Hunter Greene Making Another Rehab Start Tuesday
2 years agoCincinnati Reds rookie right-hander Hunter Greene (shoulder) is making another minor league rehab start on Tuesday for Triple-A Louisville. Greene threw scoreless innings in his first rehab outing last Thursday and he recovered well enough to make another start early this week. Look for the 23-year-old to build his pitch count up even more after he threw 27 pitches last week. He's expected to be able to return before the end of the 2022 season, but the Reds won't rush him back. Greene will continue to be very popular in fantasy drafts next year because of his strikeout upside, but he has struggled a bit to the tune of a 5.26 ERA (4.95 FIP) and a 1.29 WHIP in 20 starts while striking out 127 and walking 41 in 102 2/3 innings in his first MLB season.
