Hunter Harvey, Keegan Akin Rejoin Major League Roster

4 years agoBaltimore Orioles right-handed pitcher Hunter Harvey and left-handed pitcher Keegan Akin were recalled ahead of Sunday’s contest against the Blue Jays. The duo take the place on the active roster of pitchers Mychal Givens and Tommy Milone, who were traded to the Rockies and Braves on Sunday, respectively. Harvey will be making his 2020 debut when he appears out of relief, having compiled an impressive 1.42 ERA last year during his first taste of big league action. Akin is a candidate to take Milone’s spot in the rotation moving forward, although no moves have been made official. The duo of Harvey and Akin are the most exciting arms that the Orioles boast in September, so owners will want to stay attuned to their updates in the short term.--Jesse Borek
