5 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe collected four hits including two homers in 16 at-bats over the weekend against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 27-year-old slugger continued his breakout season by smashing dingers in consecutive days Friday and Saturday. He had a mere two singles on Sunday. Renfroe has now surpassed his career high with 27 long balls while tallying 99 runs-plus-RBI and slashing .250/.308/.613. Renfroe has proven this season he can handle right-handed pitching with an .851 OPS and with his continued mashing of lefties (1.179 OPS), he’s been rewarded with daily opportunities for the Friars.
