5 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe launched his 15th homer of the season Friday against the Miami Marlins. Renfroe provided insurance with his fourth inning solo blast and also gathered a walk in three plate appearances before being lifted for defensive purposes. The 27-year-old slugger is slashing a marvelous .253/.299/.599 with 53 runs-plus-RBI. He’s also a perfect 3-for-3 in steals as a bonus. Once a fantasy risk due to his consistency and questionable playing time, Renfroe is starting daily and has mashed against both righties and lefties.
