4 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have signed outfielder Hunter Renfroe to a one-year, $3.1 million contract on Monday. Renfroe joined the Rays ahead of the shortened 2020 season but struggled to repeat the form he displayed throughout the 2019 season, when he launched a career-best 33 home runs to go along with 64 RBI, five stolen bases and a .778 OPS through 140 games with the Padres. Renfroe was designated for assignment by the Rays in late November, but the 28-year-old power-hitter will have a chance to bounce back on a new team within the same division. The right-handed corner outfielder will have a chance to provide value as a late-round selection across standard fantasy formats ahead of the 2021 MLB season.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
