5 years agoOakland Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow is making a strong case to be the team’s number three receiver. The rookie has lined up against veteran safety Lamarcus Joyner several times in practice and has “bested” him on multiple occasions. The Raiders coaching staff wanted Joyner to test Renfrow’s abilities at full effort, and the Clemson product has responded outstandingly. At 5’10”, his stature doesn’t stand out on the field, but as we’ve seen at camp so far, the coaching staff has drooled over his ability to run routes and make plays. Renfrow appears to be moving ahead of J.J. Nelson on the depth chart, but he has a long way to go yet to prove he can be a viable fantasy player in the NFL.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
