2 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds placed closer Hunter Strickland on the bereavement list on Friday and activated left-hander Ross Detwiler (back) and outfielder Jake Fraley (knee, toe) from the injured list in corresponding moves. With Strickland away from the team for the next three to seven days, expect Alexis Diaz to be given any save situations that might arise. Strickland picked up two saves in the last week, but he also blew the save against the Miami Marlins on Thursday by allowing three runs. The 33-year-old right-hander has a 5.70 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, six saves and 30 strikeouts in 36 1/3 innings pitched this season.
