6 years agoThe Carolina Hurricanes recalled defenseman Jake Bean and goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic from Charlotte of the AHL on Monday, as it appears Trevor van Riemsdyk (upper body) and Petr Mrazek (lower body) will not be ready for Wednesday's Game 3 home outing against the New York Islanders. Nedeljkovic has been strong in the AHL, winning the Bastien Memorial Award for the AHL's most outstanding goaltender. He led the AHL with 354 wins, a 2.26 goals-against average and 2,917 minutes while also posting a career-high save percentage of .916.--Daniel Dobish
