Hyperextended Elbow for Jacob deGrom
7 years agoWhen New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) left Wednesday’s start against the Atlanta Braves after only throwing 46 pitches, the fantasy community reasonably grew concerned. Those concerns were justified, as deGrom has been diagnosed with a hyperextended right elbow. DeGrom looked “upset,” according to multiple sources, when heading for the clubhouse. deGrom is nearly certain to miss some time, but how much time remains to be seen. He was in the midst of yet another stellar start against Atlanta, striking out six and allowing only two hits in his four innings pitched prior to the injury. Check back here for updates on deGrom’s status, but expect to be without him for a while.
