Hyun-Jin Ryu Dominant In Win Over Red Sox
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu was spectacular in defeating the Red Sox on Tuesday night, tossing seven shutout innings for his fourth win of the season. He surrendered just four hits while striking out seven without issuing a free pass as he threw an even 100 pitches for the first time all year. The lefty now owns a stellar 2.51 ERA and 0.99 WHIP through nine starts, with this outing marking his best of his campaign since he shut down one of the league's best lineups in one of the league's most hitter-friendly parks. Owners should have no hesitation firing up Ryu for his next scheduled start versus the Rays.
