3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu improved his record to 7-4 on Saturday as his club handily defeated the Orioles 12-4. The lefty cruised through 6 2/3 IP with no runs allowed before he ran out of gas and let four come around to score before leaving with 91 pitches thrown. He finished the night striking out three batters to two walks and seven hits allowed to drop his ERA to 3.41 and his WHIP to 1.10. Ryu was living up to ace status before entering June, but his 4.88 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 31 1/3 IP this month is a bit concerning on his outlook the rest of the way. He'll look to get back on track against a lowly Mariners offense next week when the calendar flips to July.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
