Hyun-Jin Ryu Has Night To Forget Versus Astros
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu had a night to forget against the Astros on Friday, allowing seven runs in a 13-1 loss. Six of his runs were earned on three walks and seven hits while striking out just one batter in what was undoubtedly his worst start of the season. Ryu fired three shutout innings to start the game and went on to allow a run in the fourth and two runs in the fifth before serving up a two-out grand slam to Martin Maldonado in the sixth to end his night. Ryu still holds an admirable 3.23 ERA and 1.11 WHIP heading into his next start versus White Sox where he can hopefully right the ship.
