6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu has been named the National League Pitcher of the Month for the month of May. Ryu was awarded Player of the Week honors earlier in the month. The 32-year-old pitched absolutely brilliantly through the month of May, striking out 36 batters to go along with a minuscule 0.59 ERA (a whopping three total earned runs) and 0.68 WHIP over 45 2/3 innings. The only thing that could stop Ryu now is his health. His next start is against the Diamondbacks, who he dominated in his first appearance against this season.
