Hyun-Jin Ryu Sharp Over Six Frames
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu tossed six innings of one-run ball in the team's 5-4 win over the Marlins Tuesday. Although he wound up with a no-decision after Anthony Bass blew the save in the ninth. The southpaw allowed two hits and two walks while striking out seven in the 92-pitch outing, upping his yearly total to 24 K over 20 IP. Ryu has cut his ERA from 8.00 to 4.00 over his last two starts as he looks to be settling in with his new club. The veteran will look to keep his momentum going in a favorable matchup against the Orioles next week.
