4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu stifled the Braves offense over five scoreless frames during Wednesday's 2-1 victory. He allowed just one hit and three walks while striking out eight in the 84-pitch effort. After signing a four-year deal with the Jays this offseason, Ryu wasn't living up to expectations after allowing eight runs over his first nine innings pitched this season. It was a nice bounce-back outing for the veteran southpaw who regained some velocity on his fastball and may have found his groove with his new club. Ryu will look to keep his momentum going in a favorable matchup next week versus the Marlins.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
