3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu was sharp on Monday, tossing six-shutout frames in the club's 8-0 win over the Yankees. The left-hander allowed three hits (all singles) without issuing a free pass while striking out six, throwing just 80 pitches to improve his record to 13-8 on the season. Ryu has had his struggles for the majority of the second half, so it was encouraging to see him hold a Yankees lineup off the scoreboard and off the base paths for most of the contest. He'll carry a 3.77 ERA and 1.15 WHIP into his next start versus the Orioles where he should be inserted into lineups.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
