Hyun-Jin Ryu Takes The Loss On Tuesday
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu fell to 1-2 on the season after the club lost 4-2 at the hands of the Red Sox on Tuesday. The veteran southpaw cruised through the first three innings while throwing just 29 pitches, but he went on to surrender four runs in the fourth thanks to a three-run home run from Xander Bogaerts. Ryu managed to escape trouble in the fifth, but was subsequently pulled after throwing 83 pitches on the night. He finished the game allowing eight hits with no walks and two punchouts as his ERA rose to 3.00 on the young season. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next matchup at home versus the Nationals.
