Ian Anderson Loses To Dodgers Friday Night
2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Ian Anderson took the loss on Friday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers by allowing four earned runs on six hits while walking four and striking out six in four innings of work. Anderson's ERA on the year is now up to 4.60, and he's allowed at least four earned runs in five of his last seven starts. He's striking out a career-low 20.2% of the batters he's faced and his 11.2% walk rate is a career-high as well. On top of that, he's sporting a career-high 42.5% hard-hit rate, so the 24-year-old right-hander is being plagued by poor control and is being hit hard when he does throw strikes. If you haven't already, it might be time to bench him his next time out.
