Ian Happ Goes Yard In Loss
3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's loss versus the San Diego Padres. Happ has really been in a slump and only has six hits over his last 43 at-bats. The outfielder came into the season as a breakout candidate, but he hasn't produced much in 2021. Hopefully Monday's power display will be the jolt that Happ needs to get going. Managers in deeper mixed leagues should be able to hold out a little longer on their investment, but it's getting close to that time to cut bait with the outfielder. Happ is now hitting .193, but does have seven home runs and 16 RBI. He will look to continue to ascend versus Dinelson Lamet on Tuesday.
