4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ (ribs) has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 4, with bruised ribs. Happ collided with teammate Nico Hoerner on Sunday and has been unavailable since. Outfielder Jake Marisnick and infielder Matt Duffy should both see an increase in playing time with Happ sidelined. Both have been hitting the ball well but are better served as DFS options at the moment. Happ has struggled this season with a .167 batting average and two home runs to go along with four RBI, but he figures to return to an everyday role when he is healthy. Outfielder Nick Martini will replace Happ on the roster and can be left on the waiver wire for now.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
