4 years agoIn a middleweight bout, Ian Heinisch took care of business during the UFC prelims, dispatching Gerald Meerschaert with an onslaught of punches. In only 1:14 into the first round, the Hurricane landed an overhand right that led to an eventual referee stoppage. Heinisch landed 22 of his 27 strikes while also connecting on 20 of his 25 significant strikes. The 31-year-old picked up his first win since dropping his last two and could find himself stepping inside the octagon one more time before the end of the year.
