7 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Ian Kinsler (hamstring) doesn't need a rehab assignment and will come off the disabled list on Friday. He will slide back into his regular spot as the starting second baseman. Kinsler had played in just two games with Boston before getting injured. He has a pedestrian .244/.308/.408 slash line with 13 home runs, 34 RBI and 11 steals on the year, but his counting stats should receive a boost down the stretch while hitting in Boston's powerful lineup. Brock Holt and Eduardo Nunez will go back to utility roles with Kinsler returning.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
