3 years agoCarolina Panthers tight end Ian Thomas, who signed a three-year extension with the team last week, is facing five misdemeanor charges for attempting to escape police on a dirt bike last July. Thomas was arrested for failing to heed lights and sirens, reckless driving and operating an uninsured, unregistered dirt bike in North Carolina. The 25-year-old was a fourth-round pick by the Panthers in 2018. He hasn't panned out as a receiving tight end in the NFL for the Panthers, but he's been a strong blocker for Carolina. Thomas isn't much of a fantasy option at his position -- teammate Tommy Tremble may be more attractive -- and he had just 18 receptions on 30 targets for 188 yards and no touchdowns in 17 games in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
