4 years agoNew York Islanders netminder Ilya Sorokin led his team to a 1-0 overtime win over Philadelphia Sunday. He stopped 30 Flyers shots and recorded his third shutout in his rookie campaign. Sorokin has been rock solid for the Islanders, posting a 12-4-1 record, 2.02 goals-against average, and a .922 save percentage. He and Semyon Varlamov have become quite the goaltending tandem leading the Islanders to second place in the MassMutual East Division.
