4 years agoNew York Islanders rookie netminder Ilya Sorokin shutout the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-0 on Sunday. Sorokin posted his second consecutive shutout after losing his three previous decisions. Currently, the Russian native carries a 2-2-1 record, a 2.19 goals-against-average, and a .912 save percentage. He has been backing up fellow Russian goalie Semyon Varlamov, who has appeared in 16 Islanders contests.
