3 years agoIlya Sorokin stopped 26 shots in all on Saturday night against the Arizona Coyotes. The New York Islanders' goaltender nabbed his first shutout of the season. His numbers in the last three games have been excellent. Those statistics include a 1.32 goals-against-average, a .959 save percentage, and a 2-0-1 record. The injury to Semyon Varlamov may have been a blessing for New York as Sorokin is getting much need playing time. It is hard to believe but New York has a long way to go on this road trip. They will need Sorokin to continue making stops. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
