4 years agoCleveland Indians infielder Andres Gimenez has been optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday. The young infielder was a big part of the Francisco Lindor trade earlier this offseason. However, Gimenez was hitting .179/.226/.308 through his first 29 games in Cleveland. The organization will send him to the minors in order for him to get everyday at-bats. Amed Rosario will serve as the primary shortstop for the Indians going forward. Any fantasy managers who were hanging onto Gimenez in the hope he'd turn it around can give up on that.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
