4 years agoIrene Aldana (12-6) was unable to win her third fight in a row on Saturday, dropping the night's main event to Holly Holm by decision. Aldana was unable to really get her striking going, only landing 69 significant strikes compared to Holm's 154. Robles was unable to get the bout to the mat at any point, not even attempting one takedown on the dangerous striker. It's very possible we see Aldana in the title picture in the near future. For now, though, she will probably get an opponent ranked from somewhere near the bottom of the top 15. Aldana does seem to rebound well after a loss, so it's very likely she will be a valuable roster selection in her next fight.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
