Irv Smith Jr. A TE2 In Week 2
2 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. will look to bounce back in Week 2 after seeing just two targets on 19 snaps in the season opener. Tight end Johnny Mundt out-snapped him, but head coach Kevin O'Connell mentioned this week that Smith Jr. would play "a major role" for the team. The 24-year-old figures to see an increased role in the offense moving forward, but doesn't seem like a viable starting option until we get a better feel for what his usage will look like. For the time being, he is nothing more than a low-end TE2 for fantasy managers.
