2 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (thumb) is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season after his Aug. 1 thumb injury, and he said he's returned to catching balls over the last few days. "It feels good. I'm getting back in the groove of things. I've been out a few weeks now, so just getting back into football conditioning," Smith said. The 24-year-old didn't play at all last year after he had surgery for an injured meniscus in his right knee, but he'll be the team's top pass-catching tight end in 2022 and is intriguing as a TE2 with upside in fantasy football. In 13 games played in 2020, Smith had 30 catches on 43 targets for 365 yards and five touchdowns.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
