Irv Smith Jr. Misses Practice Thursday With Groin Ailment
4 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (groin) was held out of practice Thursday, putting his status for Monday's game against Chicago in jeopardy. Smith hauled in a pair of touchdowns last Sunday, putting him on the map when considering the one-game DFS slate coming Monday. Having had just two games all season with more than two receptions, Smith holds little season-long intrigue at this stage, but his absence would pave the way for Kyle Rudolph to potentially reclaim some additional targets at the TE1 spot for Minnesota. The Bears' defense has been susceptible to production from opposing tight ends in 2020, so check back for an update on Smith's status as the week progresses.
