3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Cristian Pache's glove is ready for the major leagues, with scouts predicting multiple Gold Gloves in his future. But the question has always been whether he can hit enough. The Opening Day center field job in Oakland is up for grabs with Ramon Laureano suspended for the first 27 games, but Pache must show that he's capable of hitting enough the take the job. The team's No. 4 prospect went 0-for-3 with a walk on Tuesday, and his batting average is down to .160 through nine spring games. The 23-year-old Dominican has hit just .119/.157/.209 with a home run and four RBI in his first 72 major league plate appearances over the last two seasons, so fantasy managers shouldn't be looking at his name in mixed leagues just yet.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
