Isaac Paredes Scratched Against L.A.
3 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Isaac Paredes will not play on Saturday against the Angels. The 22-year-old was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, but his flight was delayed, which makes him unavailable to take over for Niko Goodrum (finger), who recently landed on the injured list with a sprained left index finger. Paredes should be ready to go on Sunday for the series finale. However, in the meantime, Harold Castro will get the start at short and bat last against southpaw Patrick Sandoval, with the Castro sporting a .143 average against left-handed pitchers this season.
