Isaiah McKenzie Getting First-Team Reps
2 years agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie opened Bills training camp by getting "virtually all the first-team reps" as the team's slot receiver, according to Greg Tompsett. McKenzie will be battling with Jamison Crowder for slot duties, but it seems like a good sign the 27-year-old is getting the first crack in training camp. McKenzie saw just 26 targets during the 2021 season, which turned into 20 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown while adding nine carries for 47 yards and a score. Even if he does earn the role of starting slot wide receiver heading into Week 1, the speedster will be competing with Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Dawson Knox for targets. Still, Crowder has shown he can be a capable slot receiver so he shouldn't be ignored just yet. As of now, McKenzie is a late-round dart throw in fantasy drafts.
