Isaiah Spiller Exits Saturday's Game With An Ankle Injury
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Isaiah Spiller (ankle) left Saturday's preseason contest against the Cowboys during the second half and did not return. While there is not a timeline for his return, head coach Brandon Staley reported it "should not be anything serious." The 21-year-old finished with three carries for three yards. He was already struggling to climb the depth chart, so this will likely put him further behind teammates Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree III as the regular season approaches. It remains to be seen which of these three backs will be the backup for Austin Ekeler, but Spiller seemingly isn't a lock for the job. He'll need to return from his injury and begin to climb the depth chart before he is worth considering for any fantasy format outside of dynasty leagues.
