2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie running back Isaiah Spiller was drafted 123rd overall in this year's draft, in large part because of a poor performance at the combine. Despite his lower draft capital, he still finds himself in a fantastic position, competing for the backup role in an electrifying offense. Spiller was reportedly playing with the second-team and third-team offense, which is not surprising for a rookie this early in camp behind Austin Ekeler. Spiller will not be handed the backup role but will have every chance to earn it. If he is able to establish himself as the No. 2 option, he will become a valuable insurance back for Ekeler that fantasy managers would be wise to target.--Josh Constantinou - RotoBaller
