Isaiah Wynn Downgraded To Out
3 years agoNew England Patriots left tackle Isaiah Wynn (ankle, hip) has been downgraded from questionable to out for Saturday's wild-card game against the division-rival Buffalo Bills. Wynn missed practice all week after playing only nine snaps in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Miami Dolphins. The 2018 first-round pick started 15 games and played 82% of the offensive snaps as rookie quarterback Mac Jones' blind-side protector. Last week, the Patriots put 2020 sixth-rounder Justin Herron at left tackle to replace the injured Wynn. Herron started only four games this year and played 35% of the snaps, but he took a step forward in 2021. New England could also move eight-year veteran Trent Brown from right to left tackle and insert 2020 sixth-rounder Mike Onwenu at right tackle.
