3 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Isan Diaz was designated for assignment on Tuesday to make room for the newly signed Jorge Soler. Diaz was getting a lot of spring playing time, leading some Marlins fans to believe the Marlins were going to give him yet another chance to play this season despite his career .185/.275/.287 line across 145 big league games. One of the prospects acquired in the Christian Yelich trade, Diaz proved to be a liability at the plate, on the field, and on the bases.
