4 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Isan Diaz was optioned to the team's alternate training site on Wednesday afternoon. Diaz initially opted out of the 2020 season after two games amidst COVID-19 concerns, but recently changed his mind. The 24-year-old was expected to be a key contributor in the Marlins' lineup and showed promise as a prospect in Triple-A, but he owns a .176 average in 188 at-bats at the MLB level.
