5 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Isiah Kiner-Falefa (finger) will head out on a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville and he will serve as the designated hitter on Monday. He is then expected to build up his work behind the dish with Nashville and Double-A Frisco, with the goal being ready to re-join the active roster to begin the second half right after the All-Star break. When IKF is able to return, it likely means the end for Tim Federowicz, who was acquired from the Cleveland Indians once Kiner-Falefa went down.--Daniel Dobish
