4 years agoTexas Rangers infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a solo shot in the second inning to give the Rangers a 3-2 lead over the Oakland Athletics on Monday, and that was all they would need as they held on to halt an eight-game losing skid. It was IKF's first home run of the season, and it came at a great moment for himself and the Rangers. Kiner-Falefa has five stolen bases this season, but the lack of power has him with a .697 OPS halfway through the season. He is catcher eligible in most leagues, so that will save him from hitting the waiver wire, but a .371 slugging percentage is undoubtedly tough to swallow. The Rangers offense has been anemic in 2020, and hopefully, they, and IKF, can turn it around in the second half of the season.--Euan Leith
