6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Ivan Nova was only able to complete 3 2/3 innings on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals got to Nova with six hits that scratched four runs. Two of the hits Nova gave up were home runs. He also walked two batters while only managing to get one strikeout. Tuesday night brought his ERA up to 4.35 on the year. Nova now owns a 7-9 record as his season continues to slip. Don't look to him for much fantasy value as the year closes down.--Blake Sullivan
