6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ encountered his first difficult start in awhile his last time out on June 20 against the Atlanta Braves, and while it wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad either. Happ allowed four earned runs across 8 1/3 innings pitched, striking out eight against one of baseball’s best offenses. Now on Monday, Happ will face an even harder test: the Houston Astros, who lead the league with 409 runs scored on the season. Happ should still be started in this one, but of course, we wouldn’t expect him to completely dominate this offense. At the least, he should end up being a decent choice for strikeouts.--John Smith
