J.A. Happ Masterful Against Mets
7 years agoThe rain in Queens on Wednesday may have hurt New York Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler’s effectiveness, but it certainly did nothing to deter Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ. Happ dominated the Mets by throwing seven scoreless innings, allowing only two hits without a walk while striking out 10. Regardless of the weak opponent, it was great to see Happ get back on the strikeout bandwagon after only punching out three in his last two outings (while striking out a minimum of eight in the five starts prior to that). Happ has a more difficult matchup against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday, but is likely safe to start for fantasy purposes.
