J.A. Happ Picks Up Win Against Astros
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ had a very difficult matchup on Monday against counterpart Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros, but he got the win in a 6-3 affair. Happ pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts. It wasn’t the cleanest of outings for Happ, but when you’re facing arguably the best offense in baseball, fantasy owners will gladly run with this one. For the season, Happ now owns a 3.62 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 106 strikeouts against 27 walks in 97 innings pitched. He’s proven that he’s startable regardless of matchup, and he should be in your lineup whenever he takes the hill.
