3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher J.A. Happ struggled to control the strike zone in Monday's no-decision against the Cincinnati Reds. Happ pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits while walking five batters. He struck out four, generating 10 whiffs on 108 pitches. Much of his struggles came with his fastball, as he yielded two homers on misplaced heaters and couldn't throw the pitch for strikes when he needed to. After a couple of promising outings to end May, Happ has pitched to an ugly 8.20 ERA with eight homers allowed in four June starts. He can safely be ignored in fantasy formats right now, even with a friendly matchup coming up against the Cleveland Indians.--Tim Capurso
