3 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers recalled right-hander J.C. Mejia from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday and optioned right-hander Jandel Gustave to Nashville in a corresponding move. Mejia was acquired from the Cleveland Guardians in the offseason, but he has yet to pitch in a big-league game for the Brewers this year. Prior to his call-up, he had allowed just one earned run while walking six and striking out 15 in 10 2/3 relief innings at Nashville, and he could have an important relief role in Milwaukee. In his only major league action for the Guardians last year, Mejia had an 8.25 ERA and a 1.60 WHIP while walking 24 and striking out 47 in 52 1/3 innings over 17 appearances (11 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
