4 years agoNew York Mets third baseman J.D. Davis (hand) is day-to-day after suffering a hand sprain in Saturday's game, according to Justin Toscano of NorthJersey.com. Manager Luis Rojas said that he sprained his hand on a swing he took in his final at-bat, but it does not appear to be serious and no x-rays were needed for Davis. Over 13 games this season Davis has been swinging a hot bat, slashing .395/.489/.632 with two home runs and six RBI. He'll probably sit out Sunday, but should return to the lineup soon after.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
