J.D. Davis Progressing Toward Baseball Activities
5 years agoNew York Mets manager Luis Rojas has reported that infielder/outfielder J.D. Davis (shoulder) should soon resume baseball activities. His left shoulder inflammation has been subsiding. Davis jammed his shoulder last Tuesday diving for a ground ball. Davis, who was getting repetitions at third base in an attempt to get his bat into the lineup regularly during the season, is a breakout candidate heading into 2020. It does not appear this injury will delay Davis for Opening Day, although his progress over the next week will determine whether he remains on track to begin the season on time.
